Fort Aguada

Fort Aguada
It is the largest and the best preserved Portuguese bastion in Goa. The fort was meant to deter possible attacks on Old Goa from the Dutch and Marathas and to keep a watch over River Mandovi. A freshwater spring within the fort provided water supply to the ships that used to stop by. This is how the fort got its name: Aguada. A lighthouse on the premises further enhances the structure's magnificence oldest of its kind in Asia. It is presently serving as the Central Jail.

Goa has some of the incredibly scenic beaches that offer everything from parties to adventure, solitude to sunbathing. The deep blue sea, soft sand, swaying palms and coconut trees, delicious seafood, water sports and night-life of the Goan beaches makes it a popular attraction. Some of the most famous beaches are Anjuna, Calangute, Baga, Candolim, Vagator and the list goes on.


Basilica De Bom Jesus

It is perhaps the most famous church of Goa and a fine example of Jesuit architecture. It is a world heritage monument and contains the remains of St. Francis Xavier. It is taken out and kept for public display once in every decade.  The church is believed to be one of the oldest churches in India and is partially in ruins. The roof of the church was originally tiled. There are two chapels, a main altar and a sacristy besides a choir inside the Church itself.

Dudhsagar Waterfalls
Perched in the high peaks of Western Ghat, the falls from a distance, appears like streams of milk rushing down the mountainside hence the name Dudhsagar. It is the largest and highest fall of Goa. According to legend, the waterfall was once the abode of a beautiful princess. Trekking to the waterfall is the most popular activity and passes through steep mountain terrain. Jeep safari is also popular with tourists.
