Ujjain Ghats

Ujjain
Is the holiest cities for Hindus as it is one of the seven sacred cities. It is known as Shiva's land and is dotted with numerous temples that form the major chunk of its tourist attractions. The biggest festival the city hosts is the Kumbh Mela. The most famous temple of Ujjain is Mahakaleshwar temple. This Shiva temple is dedicated to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The bathing ghats here apart from religious significance they are a fascinating places for a leisurely walk. The attractions of Ujjain are Harsiddhi temple, Kalideh palace, Gomti Kund, Bhartruhari caves and many more.


Omkareshwar

Amarkantak
Amarkantak is a pilgrim centre for Hindus. Amarkantak is also called Theerthraj or king of pilgrimages and also the source of river Narmada and Sone. According to Mahabharata Pandavas resided here for a very long time.

Omkareshwar
The sacred island, shaped like Om, it is is one of the 12 revered Jyotirlingas shrines of Shiva. There are two temples here, one to Omkareshwar and one to Amareshwar. Beautiful temples here are one of the best and are perfect illustration of Brahminic Culture and Indo Nagra style architecture. Omkareshwar Mahadeo, Siddhnath Temple, Satmatrika Temples and the Kajal Rani Cave are worth visiting.

Bhoramdeo temple
The Bhoramdeo temple is known as Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh, it is prominently famous for its captivating 11th century Lord Shiva temple complex. Other nearby attraction include Madwa Mahal and Cherki Mahal. The main feature of these temples other than their architecture is the abundance of the erotic sculptures. A visit here is highly recommended during Bhoramdeo Mahotsav which gives a fascinating experience.


Bhoramdeo temple

Dongargarh
Dongargarh is a pilgrimage centre of Chhattisgarh. The temple at this pilgrimage centre is dedicated to Mata Bambleshwari, also referred to as Badi Bambleshwari. This temple is situated on a hilltop, at a height of 1600 ft. The most visited days of this temple are during the Navaratri of Kavar as well as Chaitra, when the temple is kept open the entire day. At this time, a day and night fair is also organized within the temple complex.
