Deoghar

Ranchi
The state capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi, is known for its rich mineral resources and scenic beauty. Often called the “City of Waterfalls,” its name is derived from the Nagpuri word ‘Archi,’ meaning ‘bamboo forest.’ Major attractions include Ranchi Hill, Jonha Falls, Kanke Dam, Tagore Hill, Ranchi Lake, Hundru Falls, Jagannath Temple, Hatia Museum, and the Tribal Research Institute and Museum.
Dhanbad
Known as the Coal Capital of India, Dhanbad is also the second-largest railway division in the Indian Railways network. The Dhanbad coalfields, commonly known as the Jharia coalfields, are among the most famous in the country. Major companies such as Tata Steel, BCCL, ECL, and IISCO operate here. Popular attractions include Bhatinda Waterfalls, Birsa Munda Park, Charak Khurd, and Kalyaneshwari Temple.
Jamshedpur
Recognized as the first planned city in India, Jamshedpur was founded by industrialist Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata and is often referred to as Tatanagar. Despite being an industrial hub, it remains one of the greenest cities in India. Tourist attractions include Hudco Lake, Jubilee Park, Rivers’ Meet, Dimna Lake, and Tata Steel Zoological Park, among others.
Bokaro
Bokaro Steel City is an important industrial center and home to the largest steel complex in India. The city is characterized by its scenic valleys and streams. Top attractions include Bokaro Steel Plant, City Park, Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park, Garga Dam, and Bokaro Ispat Pustakalaya.
