Known as the Capital City of Tipu Sultan, Srirangapatna was previously ruled by the Ganga dynasty and later saw Krishnaraja Wodeyar II crowned by the British after deposing Tipu Sultan. Today, the town is dotted with historical and religious monuments that attract tourists from across the globe.

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple:
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu’s incarnation Ranganatha, this temple exemplifies Dravidian architecture and is part of the 108 Divya Desams. The Rajagopuram (royal temple tower) is a highlight. Around 1 million visitors attend the 21-day religious festival held in December–January.

Srirangapatna FortSrirangapatna Fort:
Constructed by Tipu Sultan with guidance from French engineers, this fort showcases the best of military architectural styles. Key attractions include the Elephant Gate and the Mysore Gate.

Daria Daulat Bagh:
Known as the 'Garden of Wealth', this teak-wood palace was built by Tipu Sultan in 1784. Its Indo-Saracenic architecture and vibrant Mysore paintings on canopies, pillars, and walls are visually striking.

Gumbaz:
The Gumbaz houses the cenotaphs of Tipu Sultan and his family, reflecting Persian architectural styles. The nearby mosque, Masjid-E-Aksa, was also built by Tipu Sultan, making the site historically significant.
