Mysore: The Palace City of India

Known as the 'Cultural Capital of India,' Mysore is the third largest city of Karnataka. Nestled near the Chamundi Hills, it attracts millions of tourists throughout the year. The city is famous for its historic legacy, bustling markets, majestic monuments, vibrant culture, and wellness experiences like Ayurveda and Yoga.

The name 'Mysore' originates from Mahishasura (demon). Initially ruled by the Wodeyar dynasty, control later shifted to Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan. Mysore is renowned for its painting, palaces, festivals, silk sarees, and has produced several notable authors in Kannada literature.
