Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong
Arrival in Guwahati and drive to Shillong. En route visit Umiam Lake, a scenic reservoir surrounded by forested hills. Check in and overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 02: Shillong – Cherrapunji – Shillong
Excursion to Cherrapunji, among the wettest places on Earth, known for limestone caves and waterfalls including Nohkalikai Falls. Return via Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 03: Shillong – Kaziranga
Morning visit to Ward’s Lake and Hydari Park. Drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for the one-horned rhinoceros. Overnight near the park.
Day 04: Kaziranga National Park
Early morning elephant safari in the central range followed by an afternoon jeep safari. Kaziranga is home to rhinos, wild buffalo, elephants, and rich birdlife. Overnight stay.
Day 05: Kaziranga
Jeep safari in another range of the park. Visit a nearby tea estate and tribal village. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 06: Kaziranga – Kohima – Touphema
Drive to Kohima and continue to Touphema Tourist Village, managed by the Angami Naga community. Experience traditional village life and cultural performances. Overnight at Touphema.
Day 07: Touphema – Kohima – Dzüko Valley Region
Morning village walk. Visit the Commonwealth War Cemetery and Nagaland State Museum in Kohima. Continue towards the Dzüko Valley region, known for trekking trails and alpine landscapes. Overnight stay.
Day 08: Khonoma Village
Visit Khonoma, a historic Angami village known for its conservation practices and role in the Anglo-Naga conflicts. Return to Kohima for overnight stay.
Day 09: Kohima – Jorhat
Drive to Jorhat, the tea hub of Assam. Stay at a heritage tea planter’s residence and explore nearby Assamese villages. Overnight stay.
Day 10: Jorhat – Majuli
Proceed to Majuli, one of the world’s largest inhabited river islands and a centre of Vaishnavite culture. Ferry crossing over the Brahmaputra. Overnight stay.
Day 11: Majuli
Visit Vaishnavite monasteries (Satras) such as Auniati and Kamalabari. Evening cultural programme showcasing traditional music and dance. Overnight stay.
Day 12: Majuli – Guwahati
Drive to Guwahati. Evening Brahmaputra river cruise offering sunset views of the city skyline. Overnight stay.
Day 13: Guwahati
Visit Sualkuchi, renowned for Muga and Eri silk weaving. Continue to Hajo, a multi-faith pilgrimage centre. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 14: Departure
Tour concludes with transfer for onward journey.
