Season: May to October
Duration: 10 Nights / 11 Days
Routing: Delhi – Haridwar – Ghat – Ramni – Jhenjhenpatni – Pana – Dakwani – Kuari Pass – Gailgarh – Joshimath – Delhi
Considered by many as one of the most beautiful treks in the Garhwal Himalayas, Kuari Pass (4268 m) is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The region is truly wild, as the higher reaches of the valley remain largely unexplored. The route passes through remote villages untouched by modern industrialization, as well as dense forests and alpine meadows. The final ascent to the Pass is steep and demanding, as it lies along the ridge dividing the Lesser and Greater Himalayas. From the ridge-top, a continuous grassy meadow provides spectacular views of Himalayan peaks. From Kuari Pass, one can view Nanda Devi (7818 m), Dunagiri (7066 m), Hathi Parvat, Ghori Parvat, Kamet, Kalanka (6932 m), Chaukhamba, Changabang (6864 m), Neelkanth, Rishipahar (6992 m), Mrigthuni (6565 m), Bethratoli, Trishul (7210 m), among others. A day trek to Pangerchuli Peak is also possible from the Pass.
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
After traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome), our representative will assist you with hotel transfer and check-in. Delhi is a bustling metropolis blending ancient and modern influences. Its strategic location attracted successive dynasties as their seat of power. Mythological cities, such as Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, are believed to have existed here. Numerous monuments were built over centuries by rulers like Qutub-ud-din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, the Tughlaqs, Humayun, and Shah Jahan, who established Shah Jahanabad.
In the 20th century, much of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens, including a grand central administrative area as a testament to British rule. The contrast between the walled city and New Delhi also reflects diverse lifestyles.
