The East India Temple Tour takes you through some of the most significant temples of eastern India. Puri and Konark are among the most important pilgrimage centres for Hindus. Puri is especially renowned for the Lord Jagannath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Tapta Pani, Rayagada and Jeypore are tribal regions of Odisha that are also included in this journey.

Day 01: Arrival in India (New Delhi)
Arrive in New Delhi by international flight. After a traditional ‘Swagat’ (welcome), our representative will assist you at the airport and escort you to the hotel for check-in and overnight stay.
Day 02: New Delhi
Breakfast at the coffee shop. The morning is at leisure. Later, enjoy a guided tour of Delhi, beginning with Old Delhi, including visits to the Red Fort (built in 1648), Jama Masjid—India’s largest mosque—and Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, visit India Gate, President’s House, Humayun’s Tomb, the Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: New Delhi – Bhubaneswar (by air)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bhubaneswar. Known as the “Temple City of India,” Bhubaneswar is the modern capital of Odisha and was once a major religious centre. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Historically, the city is believed to have housed thousands of temples constructed between the 8th and 13th centuries.
Day 04: Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri
Visit some of the finest examples of classical Odishan temple architecture, including the Lingaraj, Rajarani and Mukteshwar Temples. Later, drive through the scenic coastal region to Konark. The world-famous Sun Temple, dedicated to Lord Surya, was built in the 13th century by King Langula Narasimha Deva and represents the pinnacle of Odishan temple architecture. After the visit, continue to Puri. Arrive in the evening and check in at the hotel.
Day 05: Puri
Puri is one of the four most sacred pilgrimage centres for Hindus. In the morning, visit the revered Jagannath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple attracts thousands of devotees daily, especially during the annual Rath Yatra festival. Observing the rituals and pilgrim activity here offers a profound cultural experience. In the afternoon, visit Puri Beach, regarded as one of India’s finest beaches, known for its spiritual and scenic appeal.
Day 06: Puri – Tapta Pani (approx. 310 km)
After breakfast, drive to Tapta Pani. En route, visit Chilika Lake and pass through roadside semi-tribal villages.
Day 07: Tapta Pani – Rayagada (approx. 220 km)
Drive to Rayagada. En route, visit the Desia Kondh tribal village in the Puttasingh area. Later, enjoy a gentle hike in the Niyamagiri Hills to view Dongaria Kondh tribal hamlets. Return to Rayagada, stopping to visit a Kutia Kondh tribal village.
Day 08: Rayagada – Jeypore (approx. 220 km)
Drive from Rayagada to Jeypore. En route, visit Dongaria Kondh tribal villages at Chatikona. In the evening, explore local markets frequented by Bonda and Gadaba tribes.
Day 09: Jeypore
After breakfast, visit the sacred Gupteshwar Cave and a Dhuruba tribal village.
Day 10: Jeypore – Bhubaneswar – Kolkata (by air)
Drive to Bhubaneswar and transfer to the airport for your flight to Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). Located on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, Kolkata is one of India’s major metropolitan cities and a former colonial capital. Upon arrival, meet a representative and transfer to the hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 11: Kolkata
Enjoy a full-day city tour of Kolkata. Visit the Victoria Memorial, the colonial-era buildings around Chowringhee and Dalhousie Square, the Jain Temple, Kali Temple and Fort William. At Jorasanko, visit the ancestral home of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
Day 12: Kolkata – New Delhi (by air)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to New Delhi. Arrive in the afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure. After dinner, transfer to the airport.
Day 13: New Delhi
