Day 01: Arrival in Mumbai
Upon arrival in Mumbai, you will be welcomed with a traditional ‘Swagat’ (welcome). Our representative will assist you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for a smooth check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Day 02: Mumbai
After breakfast, proceed to visit the ancient Elephanta Caves, famous for their remarkable rock-cut sculptures dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later, enjoy a stroll through the harbour area and visit the iconic Gateway of India, built in 1927 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. The sightseeing tour also includes the Gandhi Museum, followed by a visit to the serene Hanging Gardens, offering beautiful city views.
Day 03: Mumbai - Aurangabad - Ellora Caves - Aurangabad
After breakfast, travel to Aurangabad. After a short rest on arrival, proceed to explore the magnificent Ellora Caves (7th–10th century AD), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable complex of rock-cut temples vividly represents the harmony of Buddhist, Hindu and Jain philosophies through its stunning carvings and monumental structures.
Day 04: Aurangabad - Ajanta Caves - Aurangabad
Following breakfast, depart for an excursion to the Ajanta Caves (approximately 100 km). Among the thirty caves, four—Caves 9, 10, 26 and 29—are Chaitya halls containing stupas, while the others are Viharas or monastic dwellings. The legendary poet Kalidasa once described Ajanta as a treasure house of exquisite paintings, intricate sculptures, graceful architecture and deeply expressive human figures.
Day 05: Aurangabad - Hyderabad
After breakfast, drive to Hyderabad. On arrival, check in to your hotel. The evening is free to relax or explore the surroundings at your own pace. Overnight stay in Hyderabad.
Day 06: Hyderabad
Today’s sightseeing includes a visit to the iconic Charminar, the world-renowned Salar Jung Museum with its vast collection of art and artefacts, and a walk through the bustling local bazaars that reflect the city’s vibrant culture.
Day 07: Hyderabad - Gulbarga (via Bidar)
After breakfast, explore the impressive Golconda Fort, dating back to the 13th century and once famous for its diamond trade. Continue your journey to Gulbarga via Bidar, visiting historical monuments such as Rangin Mahal, Solah Khamba Masjid and Gagan Mahal.
Day 08: Gulbarga - Bijapur
In the morning, explore Gulbarga, a city known for its unique blend of cultural influences. Visit the ancient Gulbarga Fort before driving onward to Bijapur. Arrive and check in for an overnight stay.
Day 09: Bijapur - Badami
After breakfast, visit Gol Gumbaz, the most iconic monument of Bijapur, renowned for its massive dome and whispering gallery. Continue to Ibrahim Roza and Jumma Masjid before driving to Badami. En route, stop at Aihole, often called the “cradle of Indian architecture,” home to over 100 early temples. Arrive in Badami by evening, famous for its striking rock-cut cave temples.
Day 10: Badami - Hospet
This morning, explore the Badami Cave Temples, beautifully carved into sandstone cliffs overlooking Agastya Lake. Continue your journey to Hospet, stopping en route at Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site set along the Malaprabha River. Its ten major temples showcase the finest examples of early Chalukyan architecture. Arrive in Hospet by evening.
Day 11: Hospet - Hampi - Hospet
Enjoy a full-day excursion to Hampi, the former capital of the mighty Vijayanagara Empire and one of India’s most remarkable archaeological sites. Explore its vast ruins, temples, palaces and market streets before returning to Hospet for overnight stay.
Day 12: Hospet - Mumbai
After breakfast, proceed to Mumbai. On arrival, check in to your hotel. Rooms will be available for relaxation and freshening up prior to your departure. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 13: Mumbai
Tour concludes. Caper thanks you for your patronage and ensures a timely transfer to the Railway Station or Airport for your onward journey.
